I. Funding
I have negotiated a deal with Tom DeWeese, in which we will
exchange Internet hosting services (and site construction assistance)
for his conducting a direct-mail fund-raising campaign. I would
prefer that the campaign be a Sovereignty project, rather than an ECO
project. I propose that Sovereignty and ECO split any proceeds
50-50.
Tom will front all costs, handle all the particulars, keep a percentage of the returns, and forward any proceeds to us. The campaign would consist of several mailings during the year. The initial mailing should be a letter from a Congressman. I think Jo Ann Emerson is the most likely candidate for this chore.
II. Mike's newsletter
III. Freedom Week
The Property Rights Congress is planning a national meeting in March; the Fly-in-for-Freedom, is scheduled for May (I think), and Freedom Week is tentatively scheduled for late June and/or July. I am afraid that the third national meeting, targeting the same people, will be more than our people can afford. Shall we reconsider?
IV. Sovereignty Credit Card
If it is possible for SI to obtain a credit card (preferably American Express), it would be most helpful at UN meetings. I have no credit cards, and Floy has to borrow one when she travels for us. Mike & I almost had a major crisis in Bonn when the GCC people forgot to arrange our expenses with the hotel before they left town. Let's discuss it.
